Escape to this rural idyll just an hour’s drive from west London. The property is nestled down a peaceful no through lane in the South Downs National Park. The accomodation consists of a recently renovated 19th century cottage with two attached converted barns that make up the sitting/dining room and kitchen.
There are woodburners in the barn/living area and the ground floor master bedroom. A seperate living room with two comfy sofas has a large TV perfect for movie night.
The 3/4 acre back garden and paddock is fenced and dog proofed. We are very dog friendly here, our two boisterous spaniels love nothing more than running in the woods across the lane and snoozing in front of the fire. In the kitchen you’ll find a jar of dog treats, we want your dogs to enjoy their stay as much as you do !
In the summer months there is a bbq ( please bring your own coal ) and outside seating. The sun sets at the back of the house and bathes the garden in a golden glow. A perfect spot for a sundowner or two.
Ancient woodland and fields surround with numerous footpaths from the front door, ideal for ramblers and dog walkers alike. Deer roam free here and kestrels wheel above in the sky.
With two really excellent local pubs, Petworth town nearby and a village shop a few minutes away there is everything you need here for a relaxing getaway to the beautiful West Sussex countryside.
