This house was even better than we could have hoped for! We visited as a group of six friends and our dog, and it was the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend. The stunning living room was larger and cosier than it looks in the photos, ideal for working, reading, or simply sitting by the fire on a rainy day. The kitchen is wonderfully bright, and the bedrooms are laid out perfectly for a larger group. We loved being able to set off on a long walk straight from the house into town, winding through the woods and across the beautiful Petworth House grounds, where we spotted more deer than we’ve ever seen before. We’re already planning our next trip back to this special house in the new year!

We stayed in the Little House, Petworth for 17 days in October 2025. Over the years we have rented cottages all over England from many different companies. We never thought a location in Sussex could ever be so very quiet and isolated. The Little House is so and the house itself lacks nothing. Such comfort. Well maintained and modern, yet with a comfy country feel and ambiance. We loved the Little House so much that we have booked again to stay this time for 3 weeks in 2026! The owner is an extremely talented interior designer, warm and caring. I can’t wait to be back at TLH.

We stayed in The Little House at the time of our daughter’s wedding in July. It is a beautiful cottage up an isolated late, no traffic, no noise, just nature. I was completely blown away by both the design of the house and its interior! The little touches everywhere made it a home, not a house. Beautifully decorated with both antique pieces and contemporary, and a superb kitchen. We could not fault it ! The weekend wedding was spectacular and the lovely cottage added to the wonderful memories.

Just wanted to drop a line to say what an exquisite little house you have. I absolutely adored the interiors, little antiques, details of the clips on the bathroom curtains, mega comfy beds etc. we had such a lovely time. The house feels so inviting and refreshing, absolutely loved it. I am now finding every excuse to get back there!

We had a wonderful stay at The Little House in Petworth. The home itself is beautifully decorated, creating a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. It’s perfectly located, close to some fantastic walking trails — ideal for exploring the stunning countryside. As a dog-friendly property, it made our trip even more enjoyable bringing our two Huskies long. The house is very private and peaceful, offering a real home-away-from-home experience. Tucked down the end of a quiet lane, The Little House is a rare quiet oasis in the South East of England. It’s a beautiful house. Its walls feel as though they could tell you a hundred stories. And it’s been restored wonderfully. It’s warm, quiet, private, spacious and comfortable. Lots of woodland walks from the front door and a large secure garden meant that Otis, our Cockapoo, had a great time too. We had a really special stay, in a special house in a special location. My partner and I stayed at The Little House over New Year’s. The house was charming. Tucked away down a country lane but close enough to the sights at Petworth and Cowdray. The house was comfortable and beautifully decorated with all the kitchen equipment to serve up a feast. Lots of lovely long walks right from the house with a cozy fire to come back to. Highly recommend
